Projects

Did a little work on refinishing the windows,I guess I should have taken some pictures of the before so you could appreciate the "in between" and then really appreciate the "after", oh well, it was an after thought. Leire strolled in right where I was working when I had all the tools and pieces of sheet rock on the floor and dust mud everywhere and said "Oh no, your making a mess again!", " Your such a mess maker"... hah!.. she's probably heard that once too many times from mommy:-)

Lazy Sunday afternoon, the girls and I treated ourselves to pedis and facials... Baba took ocasional bites at her cucumber, she looked so cute all green.

Almost a year later..we are still alive, guilty of trading blogging for Facebook, but history repeats itself...and we are back. Enjoy! Kids and I had a blast this weekend, first weekend in a long time that I have skipped work :-)so we went to feed the ducks, play basket, had picnic and I even attempted to making through the monkey bars... I was sorely defeated by my 7 year old.

Fun in the Sun for Memmorial Day.

Summer is here and we are so excited about it.
On Monday, Memorial day, we took the kids to the pool and treated them to a nice buffet lunch at Golden Corral to celebrate that they've done so good in this school year and we are so very proud of them for working so hard, it was nice to have a family day and just enjoy the sun and the water. Leire was like a little fish that had discover the ocean for the first time..she loved it.

Mobile Home Adventures

Lifes turns are a funny thing.
To think that one and half years ago I didn't know what a mobile home was seams funny now that I've learned so very much about them.
It's been an interesting ride.
If all goes well by January we will have bought our very own first home. It's whats called a manufactured home and it's got 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It's been an investment of time and lots of work to say the least, but it definitely beats renting if you can go without the comfort of a nice set up for a few months with the reward that in the end you have your own four walls to call home.
When we first moved in it was in quite bad shape and needed a lot of tender loving care but slowly it's looking a lot better. I'll have to dig up some pictures so I can do a before and after post.
I felt inspired about writing this when it dawn on me that in our first year in the US we've managed to pay off pretty much all of our debts and in the second year, which is only half way, we will have finished paying off our first home. I know it's not anything huge or fancy and most definitely not my forever home but it's a start. It's something.
Every queen want a palace and I'm no exception:-) I want the palace, the jewels and...ohh,... the shoes.
They say it's not where you start but where you finish... so dream big girls:-)
and in the process learn lots of cool new things.

Graduation!

I'm so proud of my son Benji. This morning we went to school for his graduation.Daddy couldn't come because he's at work, But Ayleen, Leire and I went to cheer for him and to show how very proud we are that he worked so hard this year. I love you Benji.

Trip to Cali.

We just came back from some awesome vacations in California where half of Nathan's family: his mom, brothers, beautiful sister and the pretty sisters in law live. The weather was just gorgeous,there is no other words for it and the beaches amazing. We had so much fun, it was definitely worth the effort. Little sister Angelica graduated from Highs chool at 16 and we are so very proud of her, she's such a lovely person!!
