Just for fun

Cute.

Kids sure have their own way of interpreting things. My son gets 10 pesos a week, that's his allowance, he usually buys an ice cream or a bag o chips and then puts his remaining coins in a little wallet that was given to him. It teaches him the value of things and he gets to decide what he wants to spend his money on. Being a cancer he's quite saving. Today he decided to count all his little coins, so he asked me for his wallet, took them all out on his bunk and counted them. A few minutes later he pipes out:
- Mom, I have twelve moneys, guess what? I'm rich!!.

Enlarging the tents.

Highlights of our little town here are that our home population increased.
We are now 10 adults and 12 kids, wich bring our numbers up to 22 members in our home, the biggest we've been in a while. In one word, exciting! Changes are so good, and also so much fun, a bit scary sometimes, specially if I think double the milk, more dishes, bigger meals etc..but Nothing is impossible to Jesus, right? Prayers, please?

First Week of School.

Last week was the first week of school. First weeks of school are always a little tough, but ready or not, before you know it, it's back to school. Mexico is one of the countries that starts school the earliest according to my little expirience on the matter, I don't think there's any relation between time spend in school and the kids being smarter, you would think they are smarter since the school calendar finishes in the end of June and starts on the midle of August.
Anyways ...it's books, and notebooks, divisions, fractions, nouns, prepositions and all those other happy words for me.

Starting over.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Do you ever feel like you need a new start? Just to wipe the slate clean , start over, forget all the past hurts and all the little things we tuck away so carefully in our hearts without even realizing it. Have another chance at it, at being a better friend or coworker and pray that this time around you'll handle things differently and hopefully not cause any pain, hurt or sadness? How easy is it to forgive?

I wonder if when we pray for the Lord to make us humble, yielded, moldable clay in His hands, broken, does He just make us that way or does He allow things to happen in our lives that will bring that desired result .

Home improvements.

Since the kids are out of school, they've been going out more on follow up, market , etc and we've also been focusing on some major home projects, like fixing up our school room, ( I'll post a picture when it's all nice) and painting the house and rooms. Yesterday I worked on the kids and my room, did more painting then I've done in a long while, but I'm satisfied with the results. I also changed all the furniture and beds around, as much as "space" allowed me too. Muscles I didn't know I had are sore. I have to change things around once in a while if not it gets too boring. Since in the home, we have twice the amount of kids then we do adults, well... the kids just had to help too... the up side is they have fun and learn, the down side is everything takes twice as long and it's just a wee bit messier. But it's good , it teaches you patience... and lots of other things too.

Adictions.

Well , I was doing really well.
I was clean for over a year.

Temptation was too much.
Couldn't resist... it was simply irresistible.

The smell....
The flavor....

It slowly made it's way back into my life,
assured it still had it's old familiar place.

...I started drinking coffee again.
Snif!

Poochies.

Ayleen can turn on her tummy...now I can't carelessly plop her in the bed...that makes me happy, it's fascinating to see your baby grow, and she giggles and giggles when I play peek-a-boo with her, it's so, so cute.

Vacations.

Daddy came to visit for a week, so we tried to make the most of it and enjoy it to the full. We went to a nice little cozy beach in Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa for three days. It was exacly what I was needing, sometimes it's just nice to get away. The kids had a ton of fun in the beach, all that salt , sun and sand really did it for them. Isaiah and Techi came with. Fun and relaxing. The Lord is so good to us.

Here are the kids with tired looks after a swim in the pool.

Evening walk.
Our family. It was rather sunny so we were all making funny faces while trying not to sweat too much.
No captions available for that picture.

My little fishy over there loved the water. I have to say though, that if nursing is already a bit of a messy experience; nursing in the beach really leaves everything else in the dark.

The place.

Alex was trying to get the waves in that bucket. He prefered the sand and the shore intead of the water and the waves.

Enjoying the pool.
