My Heroe
And my heroe for the day is Dom, who fixed my internet connection, after it not working properly for several days. It was almost like if it had a mind of it's own , when I wanted to chat or get on line suddenly it would grow a brain and become moody and decide not to work. I'm glad it's working now. The little things we take for granted sometimes !!. Thank the Lord for internet!.
If you are thinking of watching a movie:
Don't watch... Idiocracy ..dumbest movie ever... an insult to human intelligence!.
Do watch... Flyboys... good story and cute guy..heh!.

Family Day
For family day we drove to a National Park that is not so far.
They played in this little river for a long while, throwing rocks mainly,"exploring" and trying to cross it without getting wet, of course that didn't work!
We forgot to bring cups so this scoop worked wonders.
First they got their shoes wet in this little stream. I decided to take them off and roll up their pants; after that they got their pants wet so I figured I might as well take those off too, eventually they got everything wet, including the shirt. I should have known!.
In my son's own words: "Mom, we are walking in the water like Jesus". They rode home naked but they had fun ...that's what counts. The water was so coooooooold!!
Horse back riding. When it was time to get down ,Benji, didn't want to; I asked him if he wanted to go with the men and the horses to their house and he eagerly nodded ... a few steps in that direction ... he changed his mind... hum... I was starting to wonder if he would trade us for some horse's love. I was relieved he didn't!.
For lunch we had hot dogs, everyone had to cook their own which was a very smoky experience!. There is Alex cooking his hot dog on a stick.

My son -Where did you go?
The person - Witnessing.
My son- I also went witnessing, in the park I gave one paper (meaning track) to one people.
The funny things kids say!

Of Babies and Pregnancy
I’m officially 38 weeks pregnant according to www.babycenter.com which is a really awesome site, in fact, the best I’ve found related to everything to do about babies, pregnancy and you name it. It builds a weekly calendar of your pregnancy which is very nice, it has a lot of helpful information on every topic, how your baby is growing, symptoms or discomforts you could experience during your pregnancy, it also has a very interesting Video Library section, I imagine very helpful for first mommies that are not sure of what to expect during labor and birth.
I always feel a little bit anxious during the last stretch of pregnancy. On one hand you just want to get it over with already, you are tired of being tired, of looking big ( specially when your 3 year old comments that you are getting soooooo fat) and on the other hand your life is about to change, it’s never going to be the same after ..and ,well, we humans usually resist change. The good thing is the Lord is control and does all things well, I guess He lets me feel a little bit anxious so that I’m just as desperate in prayer, depending and trusting Him every step of the way.
I’ve learned a lot of invaluable lessons during this pregnancy. Lessons on trusting the Lord. Lessons on faith. Lessons on love. Lessons on understanding. Lessons on resting on the Lord, Lessons on priorities and the things that are truly important in life. Lessons on pride and humility… just to name a few. During those times letters like A Labor of Love, Stress not and Jesus is Enough made all the difference in the world and put things back into perspective for me. The Lord is so faithful to time out things exactly when we need them and to speak to our hearts if we let Him.
And for my wonderful home that’s put up with all my moody swings, crying spells and been so supportive through it all...THANK YOU!

Feliz Dia del Amor y la Amistad
I like the name of this day in Spanish because it’s not only for your significant other, but also for your friends; it’s a day to celebrate friendship and love.
Our breakfast cook made some pink pancakes for the occasion…which were delicious!
Brian and Cristal brought the kids and I breakfast up to our room, no doubt it’s the little things that make your day and make you feel loved.
In the evening we had a nice dinner and each of the gentlemen in the home gave the girls some roses. Sweet!!
Happy Valentine’s!! and Feliz Dia de la Amistad!

A child's logic
The kids enjoying some Feast activities.
We made a cute "Home of Hearts" where we put the name of each person in a heart and under a word of apreciation. Benji was really proud of his project. We put it in the living room so everyone could check their name.
Today I was laying on the bed while the kids played semi quietly so I decided to take some P&P time. I got a hold of my notebook and a little bit into it, Alex (3) asked me:
-Mom, are you talking to God? I answered yes.
With a knowing tone in his voice he replied,
-I'll talk to Jesus then.

Feasting.
Today was Benjamin's birthday. He's turned two. We might celebrate on the weekend or wait until daddy comes home, but that might be a while.
We're starting our feast.

This and That
(Sorry about the dates, they are off, the pics are from yesterday at the park)
Cristal made it back home safely. The kids were starting to really miss her, after all no one can replace a mommy. She had a very eventful trip to
The kids, with Christian’s help, made her a beautiful welcome sign.
She brought some little gifts for all the kids and everyone else too. So thoughtful!.
Alex is thrilled with his new spider man hat, which he’s been wearing all day and Benji feels like a real soccer player with his new shirt (blue and white of course!), he didn’t want to take it off to go to sleep. He’s a little vain for an almost two year old boy.
On a different note, who says women can’t be handywomen?
About two weeks ago I noticed the water in my sink was going down the drain slower then usual, so after taking a careful look at it I realized the kids had put or dropped a couple small things in the sink, one of them round and metal and almost covering the entire pipe hole. I tried to take it out but it was pretty stuck further down. I decided to ask one of the guys if he could take a look at it for me… since I wasn’t looking forward to getting underneath my little half a meter wide sink being eight months pg. Another week passed, and as you can guess these kinds of problems don’t get better by themselves, so today I was determined to do something about my very clogged sink, a mean, it can’t be that hard, if a guy can do it , I can do it. Where is a guy when you need him anyways?
I moved everything from underneath my sink in order to fit, which is no small task considering my size, and then unscrewed the pipes, I’ll spear you all the gooey slimy mess. I discovered the mystery of where my hair has been going!.
It took me a good hour of trying to get the little round peace of metal and two round pebbles that were stuck in there … I finally succeeded with the help of two screw drivers after a toothbrush handle , tweezers and paintbrush failed to do the trick. After I put it all back together I realized it was leaking a little bit, I was able to make it almost completely stop, nothing a bucket won’t temporarily fix. I guess we do need men after all, my hat out to all our handyman.
In the afternoon the kids and I tagged along with the shopping team that was going to Costco were we do some of out monthly shopping. The kids ended up getting our driver a little stressed out, they were so eager to “help” with everything, like putting things in the cart and they ended up just being in the way. Such a cute age!! For some reason they had a sample stand in each corner, which in my experience it’s usual for a Mexican store, but either way the kids went from stand to stand getting free samples of hotdogs, bacon, cheese, cookies, granola bars, yogurt, soy milk and juice. Neither of them ate much dinner. Go figure. I was just happy for no upset tummies in the car.

Happy Birthday Steven
I know your Birthday was yesterday...so I should say Happy Belated birthday.
I don't have a good excuse at all for the belated part so I won't even try.
I do hope and pray you have a wonderful new year full of happiness and all the beautiful things a caring person like you deserves. Thank you for your friendship through the years and even though we don't talk as much anymore when we do it feels like we pick up right where we left off... time and distance...well, that's just a small disadvantage of this earthly dimension.

Psalm 23
A friend sent me this today, I thougth it was pretty interesting. Jesus truly is enough!
The Lord is my Shepherd
That's Relationship!
I shall not want
That's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.
That's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
That's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul
That's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.
That's Guidance!
For His name sake
That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
That's Testing!
I will fear no evil.
That's Protection!
For Thou art with me
That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me,
That's Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
That's Hope!
Thou anointest my head with oil,
That's Consecration!
My cup runneth over.
That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
That's Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord.
That's Security!
Forever.
That's Eternity!

Expecting.
“Kids are one of My blessings in your life, they are a token of My love for you. They are a manifestation of My love, My blessing upon your life… they are the purest form of My love that you will experience here on Earth. I know it entails sacrifice but the rewards are eternal. Thanks for trusting Me, you will never regret that you did, for every time that you look at this little one you will see My love for you manifested in a very personal way.”

All in a day
Today was family day.
Since the weather has been windy, rainy and cold the last few days the kids have gotten a little sick with runny noses and the likes, needless to say they've had to stay indoors and skip on the usual get out and exercise time. That would be fine if they were girls but they happen to be healthy, full of energy little boys that don't settle for just anything.
My mission for the day was simple; get them tired, do something different and out of the house.
I remembered that in a mall not too far away they had some kiddy rides in this one arcade place were my hubby occasionally likes to play some of those games, and the rest of the time, well , the kids could run around inside and burn some of that accumulated energy.
So the kids and I took a bus there and, boy, was I happy when we got there and not only did they have some rides but a whole place in the back set up like an inside park, nursery, day care center. I was overjoyed!!
The price was very reasonable, the kids had lots of fun and we all got to share some chinese food.
The Lord is so good to us!.
Alex(3) couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. He was so excited! He got to go on his first go cart track by himself, with little brother Benji in the back on his motorbike.... so now he can drive which is more then I can do. I thought he did pretty good for his first time, even though he would sometimes forget he had to press the gas pedal to be able to move.
As for me, the day was tiring, but rewarding in many other ways and since I skipped my nap time, which is my life saver these days ...I'm very tired.

A bridge
In this little space of the huge space that is the web you can find perhaps a little bit of everything but mainly lots of things related to my adorable angels which are definetly and without question the greatest gift the Lord could ever give me.
This blog is dedicated to them and the happenings of our little family, I can't promise I'll be super faithfull posting, because we all know mom's are one of the busiest people in the world, but I'll try to post pictures ...since after all they are worth a thousand words.
I'm hoping this blog will also be a nice way to keep in touch with family and friends that care enough to know...and be a bridge all the way through the Pacific Ocean and make the distance to loved ones seam a few miles less.
Enjoy!.
